Nigerian Ife Beaded Terracotta Head Sculpture

This decorative Nigerian Ife head is likely crafted from terracotta and entirely covered with an intricate pattern of glass beads. The face is divided vertically into red and white halves, with the eyes, nose and mouth picked out in yellow beads and the eyes further outlined in blue.

A band of black beads separates the head from the neck, which is decorated with red and yellow beading. The beadwork appears well preserved, with no major losses visible. Please refer to the photographs for condition.
