Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused individual to join our auction house team. This role sits at the heart of our operations, combining client interaction, administrative coordination, cataloguing, and live auction support. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple stages of the auction process from intake through to final settlement.

This role offers a unique blend of auction and retail experience. Outside of live auction periods, you'll work closely with the retail team, contributing to the smooth operation of the shop and helping to deliver a high-quality customer experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Auction Co-ordinator

Client Services & Intake
  • Welcome and assist clients bringing items for auction, providing a professional and approachable first point of contact
  • Assess and log incoming items, ensuring accurate documentation and condition reporting
  • Handle client enquiries in person, by phone, and via email
Administration
  • Maintain accurate records of consignments, client details, and transaction histories
  • Prepare contracts, receipts, and consignment agreements
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and any relevant regulations
Cataloguing
  • Research, describe, and catalogue items for auction using auction management software
  • Produce clear, accurate, and engaging lot descriptions
  • Upload images and ensure all listings meet company standards and deadlines
Auction Operations
  • Operate auction software during live and timed auctions
  • Monitor bids, resolve issues in real-time, and ensure smooth auction flow
  • Coordinate with auctioneers and technical staff during sale events
Post-Sale Coordination
  • Organise payments, invoicing, and financial reconciliation for buyers and sellers
  • Arrange collection, shipping, and delivery of sold items
  • Liaise with logistics providers and ensure timely fulfilment

Skills & Experience

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with a professional and friendly manner
  • Comfortable working with databases and auction or inventory software
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in antiques, collectibles, or fine art is advantageous but not essential

Key Responsibilities of the Retail Team

  • Working with the shop team to make sales and ensure customer needs are met
  • Providing good customer service and speaking to customers face to face, over the phone and dealing with online and text enquiries
  • Build product knowledge by conducting personal research into the types of products we sell
  • Daily cashing up
  • Processing prop hire
  • Processing customer commissions
  • Visual merchandising to ensure the layout of the store is appealing to customers
  • Processing incoming stock deliveries and taking inventory
  • Processing customer deliveries and collections
  • Handling customer complaints
  • Assist in the upkeep of health and safety standards throughout the store
  • Cleaning duties throughout the store

About the Role

We're looking for a commercially driven Marketing Manager who knows how to turn strategy into measurable sales growth. This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in retail marketing who can seamlessly integrate brand, digital, and performance marketing to drive revenue. You'll be responsible for planning and executing campaigns across multiple channels, with a strong focus on ROI and customer acquisition.

On The Square is expanding rapidly and has the team to facilitate exponentially more revenue. We need to see sales expand in line with that, and we are expecting a 100% increase in revenue inside the first year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that drive footfall, online traffic, and revenue growth
  • Lead and optimise multi-channel campaigns across digital, social media, SEO, email, and in-store marketing
  • Own the SEO strategy, improving organic visibility, search rankings, and conversion rates
  • Plan and manage paid digital campaigns (PPC, display, social ads) with a strong focus on performance and ROI
  • Oversee social media strategy, content planning, and audience growth across key platforms
  • Analyse campaign performance using data and analytics tools, turning insights into actionable improvements
  • Collaborate with sales, merchandising, and leadership teams to align marketing initiatives with business objectives
  • Manage marketing budgets effectively, ensuring maximum return on investment
  • Build, lead, or coordinate with internal teams and external agencies where required

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Marketing Manager (or similar role) within a retail or consumer-focused business
  • Demonstrable track record of significantly increasing sales and revenue through marketing initiatives
  • Strong expertise in digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media
  • Analytical mindset with experience using tools such as Google Analytics, SEO platforms, and ad managers
  • Ability to balance brand-building with performance-driven marketing
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Highly results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

We're looking for a pro-active and hands-on Driver/Warehouse Operative who isn't afraid to take ownership of this role. This is a position for someone who can use their initiative, stay organised and confidently get stuck in from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Drive our company vehicles when requested
  • Carry out deliveries and collections throughout Ireland and the UK
  • Plan all journeys to ensure the shortest and most economical routes
  • Adhere to schedules and deadlines for timely pickups and deliveries
  • Liaise with customers to advise when en-route or to give an ETA for delivery or collection
  • Deliver and pick up items, ensuring they are secure and remain in good condition during transport
  • Load and offload deliveries of stock (includes moving and handling heavier items of furniture, etc.)
  • Drive in inclement weather, although your health and safety will be prioritised and no unnecessary risks should be taken
  • Assist customers with carrying items to their vehicles
  • Assist with moving and handling of stock items at large house and building clearances
  • Perform daily pre and post trip safety and operations checks on vehicles
  • Conduct routine maintenance such as checking oil, tyre pressure and fuel levels
  • Conduct routine maintenance and checks on forklifts such as water level checks
  • Ensure forklift trucks are charged at all times
  • Keep the interior and exterior of the vehicles clean and tidy
  • Report any mechanical issues or damage to management immediately
  • Run vehicles to garages for routine servicing
  • Take vehicles to MOT
  • Communicate with store and management regarding delays, issues or delivery status
  • Ensure that all relevant paperwork such as insurance and breakdown contact details are kept in each company vehicle
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times
  • Receive and unload deliveries to the shop, sign for deliveries and unload goods manually or with equipment
  • Inspect and check items as they are offloaded and unboxed, checking for damages or missing items against the shipping documents
  • Store goods, moving them to the correct location in the shop or store
  • Work with the shop and ecommerce teams to pick, pack and wrap for dispatch
  • Maintain the warehouse, organising the existing space and continuing to keep it clean, tidy and organised
  • Organise repairs and maintenance for other company equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, etc.
  • Carry out monthly ladder checks on ladders used in shop and warehouse. Ladders should have tags on them, be checked each month and marked up as safe. Any unsafe equipment should be reported and taken out of use
  • This role can be physically demanding, involving driving and handling heavy goods

Criteria

  • Must have C1 licence
  • Forklift licence desirable
  • Previous experience in a delivery/warehouse role preferable
  • IT skills desirable
  • Punctuality and good time management
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Repair and restore furniture including tables, chairs, cabinets, and display units
  • Perform carpentry and woodworking tasks - cutting, sanding, joining, and finishing
  • Operate workshop machinery and power tools safely and effectively
  • Build and assemble fixtures, shelving, and custom pieces as needed
  • Carry out general maintenance and repairs around the warehouse and retail space
  • Keep the workshop organized, clean, and safe
  • Assess items for repair feasibility and recommend solutions

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in woodworking, carpentry, or furniture restoration
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Physical fitness - comfortable lifting and moving furniture
  • Good eye for quality and craftsmanship
  • Bonus: Experience with upholstery, metalwork, painting/finishing, or basic electrical work (e.g. rewiring lamps and light fittings)
