Centre Manager – On the Square Emporium
Full-Time Position Available — 40 hrs/week
Starting Salary: £45,000
Location: Heron Road (transitioning to Dickson’s Garden Centre, Belfast Road Bangor)
Working Hours: Mon-Wed 9-5pm, Thu 9-9pm, Sat 9-6pm, Sun 1-6pm

On the Square Emporium is seeking an experienced manager to lead our exciting expansion from our retail shop in Heron Road to our new Grand Emporium at Dickson’s Garden Centre, Belfast Road Bangor.
The new Centre will be a bustling destination featuring an antique centre, garden centre, seasonal and gift shops, restaurant, and café. With an 18-24 month timeline for the move, you’ll have time to master our systems and products while overseeing this major business expansion.
Purpose of Role
Ensure the smooth running of On the Square Emporium and its concessions. You’ll lead the team, drive sales, keep customers happy, and maintain thriving plant displays. Your high standards, industry know-how, and passion will see you coaching teams one minute and creating unforgettable customer experiences the next.
Main Duties
- Property Management: Manage the property to the highest professional standards
- Strategic Collaboration: Work with Director and senior management to achieve business plan objectives
- Marketing & Purchasing: Collaborate with marketing teams on advertising strategy and purchasing teams for best produce
- Concession Management: Source and manage concession areas and concession holders
- Staff Leadership: Manage Centre staff, develop strong relationships and communication lines with all staff and concession holders
- Customer Experience: Create positive shopping experiences with strong focus on customer service
- Community Engagement: Be the face of the centre in the local community and develop community links
- Staff Development: Handle onboarding, training, appraisals, mentoring, and development of Centre staff
- Sales Excellence: Drive sales, achieve targets, maximize profitability through effective strategies and promotions
- Growth Opportunities: Identify growth opportunities and stay current with market trends
- Operations: Ensure all operational systems, procedures, and legislative requirements are managed effectively
- Health & Safety: Maintain compliance with all Health and Safety requirements
- Security: Safeguard property against theft, loss, or abuse; serve as keyholder with alarm response duties
Essential Requirements
- Extensive retail experience at management level or higher
- Commercial awareness: Understanding of retail market with ability to identify growth opportunities
- Strong leadership/management skills: Ability to inspire and guide teams
- Sales acumen: Initiative-taking approach to driving sales and engaging customers
- Training and development focus: Commitment to nurturing and enhancing team members’ skills

Driver (Warehouse / Retail Assistant) – On the Square Emporium
Full-Time Position Available
Location: Unit A3, Sydenham Business Park, 17 Heron Road, Belfast BT3 9LE
Working Hours: Monday – Friday

Help us deliver treasures to our customers and support our growing operations. Split your time between driving deliveries and warehouse work – perfect for someone who enjoys variety in their day.
Deliveries are estimated to take up 50% of your time, so we’re looking for someone that we can utilize in other areas – warehouse or retail experience is a bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Transport items safely between locations and to customers.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
- Provide excellent customer service during drop-offs.
- Support warehouse operations – receiving, organizing, and preparing stock.
- Keep warehouse areas clean and organized.
- Help on the shop floor when needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Clean driving license and driving experience.
- LGV (Large Goods Vehicle) license.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to handle heavy items with care.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Social Media Executive – On the Square Emporium

We need a social media generalist who can do it all—from creating stunning visuals to managing ad budgets,
from jumping on viral trends to crafting conversion-focused campaigns.
What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

- Facebook Ads Manager mastery: Extensive experience managing campaigns, audiences, and budgets with proven results.
- Budget management skills: Comfortable handling marketing spend and making strategic allocation decisions.

- Trend spotting: Ability to identify and act on trends quickly while maintaining brand consistency.

- Video & photo skills: Can shoot, edit, and produce professional content across formats.
