This traditional antique fireplace bellows features a classic teardrop shape, crafted from two robust pieces of aged wood. The wood exhibits a rich, warm brown patina, indicative of its age, with visible grain and minor surface wear. A deep, dark brown or black leather accordion-style mid-section connects the wooden panels, secured with numerous small metal studs, creating the functional air chamber. The leather shows signs of age and use, with some creasing and slight degradation, consistent with a well-used antique. Extending from the pointed end is a sturdy metal nozzle, which has developed a greyish, oxidised finish over time. The handle at the wider end allows for easy operation. This bellows serves as a practical tool for stoking fires and a decorative item. It is suitable for a living room, lounge, or library fireplace setting.
