Maignens Patent Filtre Rapide Copper and Brass Wall Vessel

A Maignens Patent Filtre Rapide copper water filter vessel. The main body features two brass carrying handles, a fitted copper lid with a turned brass finial, and a brass tap nozzle to the front lower section. The front displays two embossed brass plaques, one reading 'Maignens Patent Filtre Rapide Sole Patentees 15 Gt Marlborough St London W' alongside a coat of arms, and a secondary plaque reading 'T Edens Osborne Hardware & Cycle Merchant Overland House 10 Donegall Street Belfast'.

To the lower section, a tapered copper mounting bracket or chute extends downward. The interior retains its partitioned metal structure with central aperture, showing extensive dark surface wear, residue and oxidation. Sold as seen and untested for functional use.

The exterior copper displays a polished finish with scattered shallow indentations, surface scratches, and areas of natural tarnish. The brass fittings show mild patina and traces of verdigris around the threaded spout.
