This is a vintage torpedo-shaped bottle, made of green-tinted glass. This style of bottle was designed with a rounded bottom so that it had to be stored on its side, keeping the contents moist and preventing cork shrinkage. The bottle has an embossed inscription 'COVENTRY' with decorative leaf patterns. The glass shows the irregularities and bubbles typical of its age and manufacture. Would display well on a shelf.
