Vintage S D Bell Belfast High Grade Tea Tin

This vintage rectangular tea tin was produced for the renowned Belfast tea merchant S. D. Bell & Co. Ltd. of 63 Ann Street, Belfast. Decorated in an elegant Chinoiserie style, the lithographed exterior features figures with fans beneath a fruiting tree, set against a black background with red decorative borders and gold-tone details.

The front panel clearly carries the S. D. Bell branding along the bottom margin and is marked High Grade Tea at the top. The tin shows signs of its history with some surface scratching, minor tarnish to the interior and rims, and a visible small dent on the right front corner seam, which does not affect the lid's operation. Ideal for shelf display or as a collector's piece of Belfast advertising.
