Vintage Galvanised Metal Dairy Measure Jug

A rustic vintage galvanised metal measure jug with a tapered body, broad pouring lip and distinctive loop handle supported by a curved lower brace. Its visible seams and utilitarian construction give it plenty of traditional dairy, farm or workshop character.

Now best suited to decorative display, the jug could hold dried flowers or form part of a country kitchen, garden-room or agricultural collection. A small applied plate is present on the body, although its detail is not clearly legible in the supplied photographs.

Condition: Heavily time-worn condition with widespread rust, oxidation, staining, scratches and finish loss inside and out. The rim is uneven and the seams, handle attachments and base show age-related wear. It has not been tested for leaks, is not guaranteed watertight and should not be considered food-safe.
