Victorian Mahogany Bookcase

A stunning early Victorian Bookcase. This piece is in great condition for its age and is a good functional piece for storage and display. Ample room in the drawers and a large glass doors to display books or collectables. The base is a mahogany 2-over-3 chest on bun feet and the escutcheon is made from ivory or bone. The upper two door glazed display is mahogany with original hand blown glass. Above the doors is a beech inlay. The glazed display has three fixed mahogany shelves and topped with a cavetto cornice. The back is three plank mahogany.
