This is a mounted female common kestrel taxidermy display. From the Kenneth Murphy Private Collection, this bird is registered with a D.O.E number and a CITES registration. The common kestrel (Falco tinnunculus) is also known as the European kestrel, Eurasian kestrel or Old World kestrel. It is a species of predatory bird belonging to the kestrel group of the falcon family Falconidae.
The kestrel is mounted on a faux natural wood base and features the bird's natural plumage in browns, greys, and creams, along with a yellow beak and yellow feet. The faux wood base is finished with green moss.
Overall, this taxidermy display is in good condition, though may show signs of age. This taxidermy display would be perfect for a study, library, or man cave.
