This is an inert hand grenade casing, originally designed for smoke screening purposes. The metal body features a dark green finish with a brown band at the top, complete with printed markings including 'GREN HAND', 'SMK SCR', 'CCC', and serial numbers.
The canister is topped with a black metal fuse simulator. The base of the aluminium canister features a small pre-drilled hole, confirming its deactivated, empty, and inert status. This item makes an unusual curiosity for collectors of military history and is sold strictly as a decorative display piece.
