This framed oil painting on board depicts a serene village scene with rustic stilt houses lining a river or canal, complete with a small boat. The artwork is presented in a classic gold-tone moulded frame with a decorative beaded inner border.
The reverse features a vintage paper label from F. G. Davis & Sons Ltd, picture framers and art dealers based in the North Street Arcade, Belfast. Additionally, there are handwritten inscriptions on the backing paper attributing the work to the artist Chien Khan with a circa 1958 date. This charming piece of art is ideal for display on a wall, shelf or mantelpiece.
