Carved Oak Wheel Barometer with 1913 Presentation Plaque

This early 20th-century wheel barometer features an intricately carved wood frame, likely oak, decorated with floral and scroll details. The piece integrates both a vertical thermometer displaying Fahrenheit and Centigrade scales and a lower circular aneroid barometer dial. The white dial is marked with atmospheric conditions from Stormy to Very Dry with elegant decorative lettering.

Mounted between the thermometer and the barometer dial is a brass presentation plaque inscribed to Mr Sam Rennix from the teachers and children of Bleary S.S. on the occasion of his leaving in May 1913. This historical inscription offers a charming connection to its early Edwardian era history. The instrument is sold as seen and untested, making it a wonderful historical wall piece for a study, hallway, or library display.
