The image of the man that I used for inspiration for this piece belongs to a true gentleman.
He went to the school of hard knocks and the university of life. He has been a fisherman and is now a grave digger,
He very kindly gave me full permission to explore my deep connections to my work and let my artistic licence run wild as his life story inspires me.
Some people have told me that they can see the soul of the man in my painting. One gentleman told me that he can see his own soul.
Painted as a poster on a brick wall which has been callously plastered over only to be revealed decades later as decay takes hold. However, this is a life, a story, and it lives on.
“In the end only kindness matters”
