Antique Pattersons A3 Miners Lamp with Glass Surround

This is an antique Pattersons A3 miners lamp constructed from metal and glass. The lamp would have been used to illuminate the tunnels in a mine, in days before electric light. It has a black textured body and a glass surround within a metal cage. There is a sturdy metal handle at the top. The lamp displays some signs of wear commensurate with age adding to its character. It would make a unique decorative piece for a home or office.
