This vintage wooden box houses a complete set of alphabet and number printing stamps, evoking a sense of early 20th-century stationery or small-scale printing. The rectangular box is crafted from a light-coloured wood, featuring simple dovetail or finger joint construction, and opens on brass-coloured hinges. The interior of the hinged lid prominently displays a myriad of purple ink marks, indicating the box's authentic use over time. Inside, the individual wooden-handled rubber stamps are neatly organised in rows, each clearly marked with a letter, number, or symbol on its handle. The wood exhibits a warm patina and expected signs of wear commensurate with its age, including minor scratches and some discolouration, particularly around the edges and corners. The rubber stamps themselves show varying degrees of use, with some retaining clear outlines and others showing residual ink. This item would make an excellent decorative piece for a home office, library, or a collector of vintage ephemera and printing history.
