A characterful vintage low stool, hand-carved from solid wood and raised on four splayed block legs. Incised chevron motifs decorate the legs, while a repeating notched pattern runs around the edge of the rectangular seat.
The dark, time-worn finish and visible tool marks give this compact stool a strongly rustic, sculptural presence. It would work well as a decorative display stand or as an accent in a collected interior.
Condition: Heavily time-worn vintage condition with numerous splits, cracks, gaps at the joints, old marks, surface wear and small holes throughout. The photographs show these features in detail.
