This is a vintage glass Codd bottle, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. These bottles were designed with a marble and a rubber washer in the neck. The bottle was filled upside down, and the pressure of the carbonated liquid forced the marble against the washer, sealing the bottle. The bottle has embossed lettering.
The glass has some wear and clouding commensurate with age. The marble is present inside the bottle. This vintage Codd bottle is perfect for display in a bar, man cave or home.
