An original mixed media painting titled ‘Thoughts’ by Terry Bradley, created in 2018. This striking piece features a portrait of a woman with floral elements, rendered in black, white, and grey. The artwork is framed in a substantial black frame. Dimensions: 23 x 19 inches (58.4 x 48.3 cm) unframed, 35 x 31 inches (88.9 x 78.7 cm) framed. Please note that the frame may differ slightly in real life. This is not a print or re-run, but an authentic, unique artwork.
Born in Belfast in 1965, Terry Bradley grew up during The Troubles and found a form of escapism in art. He discovered how drawing calmed his nerves and he was able to lose himself in the complexities of observing people and then recreating them on paper. Bradley’s work often features strong characters who have lived hard lives and show the wounds they carry. Broken noses, scars and tattoos on the men and streaked make up and tear stains on the women, Bradley’s subjects show their vulnerabilities, yet their look remains defiant and challenging.
