Small Dunlop Golf Figure

This cast iron figure depicts the We Play Dunlop Golf Caddy. Used as a point of sale advertisment by Dunlop, this figure would have been placed on the checkout desks of professional golf retailers in the early 1900's. The caddy is wearing a cap, scarf, and is carrying his golf bag. The figure is carefully handpainted, and stands on a plinth that features the words "We Play Dunlop". The original version of this figure is extremely rare, with very few examples coming to market. This is a lovely collectable item in its own right, very popular with fans of sporting memorabilia.
