Our current exhibition > SAMPLER: Studies in Pattern < by Sinead Black, Bricolage
Beautiful new quilt-works by local textile artist. Small, framed studies in quilt design and traditional stitching methods.
Bricolage was established in 2006 by Sinead Black – developed from a life spent in architecture and design. The essence of Bricolage is in the name – a piecing together of available cloth. Sinead uses, traditional stitching techniques and 100% linen from local areas to create contemporary quilts and homewares. The design ethos is to bring together traditional hand-made processes with the minimalism of modern design.
This latest body of work is essentially Bricolage in detail! – Smaller framed linen quilt samplers with geometric sashiko-stitched patterns developed from the designs from her larger quilts. This work provides an opportunity to bring a unique piece of Bricolage into your home.
