Andrew Grant Kurtis Original Oil Mountain Lake Landscape Painting

An original oil-on-canvas mountain lake landscape by British artist Andrew Grant Kurtis, whose name and M.A. (Lon.) credentials are stamped to the reverse. The atmospheric composition depicts still water beneath a wooded mountain range, with soft light breaking through a misty sky.

The painting is presented in an ornate oval frame with floral cresting, beaded inner detail and an aged gilt-toned finish. The canvas is stamped 12 × 16 on the reverse, and the oval presentation gives the work a particularly traditional decorative character.

Condition: Vintage condition with general age-related wear, rubbing, discolouration and small losses to the ornate frame finish. The reverse canvas shows spotting and foxing, clearly photographed. The painted surface has light marks and an aged appearance but no obvious major tear is visible in the supplied images.
