A familiar name on a weathered sign. A whiskey mirror that catches your eye across the room. A well-used bar stool ready for its next home.

Our Antique Advertising & Breweriana Auction brings together Irish whiskey collectables, Guinness advertising, shop signs and pub furniture, with plenty to explore whether you’re adding to a collection or furnishing a space.

The timed online sale closes on Sunday 25 October 2026, with lots closing in sequence from 12 noon. You can browse the catalogue and place your bids ahead of Sunday.

Irish whiskey names, in glass and gold

Irish whiskey advertising is a particular highlight, with mirrors, jugs, bottles and decanters carrying names including Bushmills, Dunville’s, Jameson and McConnells.

Look out for the McConnells whiskey mirror, lot 345, and Dunvilles whiskey mirror, lot 350, both catalogued as original antiques. The Dunville’s “24 Prize Medals” decanter, lot 224, features deep-etched lettering with traces of gold leaf.

There are smaller pieces throughout the catalogue too, from miniature bottles to advertising water jugs.

Weathered Old Bushmills Whiskey advertising sign

The large Old Bushmills metal sign, lot 315, takes a different approach: bold black lettering against yellow, with substantial wear clearly visible. It’s an eye-catching piece for anyone drawn to old commercial advertising.

Guinness advertising and traditional signwriting

Guinness runs throughout the sale, from framed mirrors to hand-painted wooden signs.

The selection includes modern handmade pieces created by a local Northern Ireland artist using traditional techniques, including acid etching, reverse painting and gold leaf. These sit alongside other Guinness collectables, giving bidders a choice of styles and finishes.

Lots 261–265 are a separate group of picture plaques, catalogued as coming from the Guinness Hopstore exhibition at St James’s Gate in Dublin and dating from 1988–2000.

Give a pub interior its next chapter

For anyone fitting out a bar, café or home entertaining space, there’s a substantial selection of furniture: bentwood chairs, marble-topped tables, bar stools, benches and larger fittings.

Several lots are catalogued as coming from Lavery’s and Robinsons, with further furniture from Betty Blacks in Bangor.

At the larger end, lot 332 is a refurbished vintage pitch pine bar. Lot 360 incorporates sections dating from the late 1800s, including Victorian green tile inserts uncovered beneath later coverings. Its catalogue description records later additions too—a bar adapted over the years and ready for another chapter.

Check measurements and collection arrangements carefully, particularly for the larger pieces.

Beyond the bar

There’s plenty beyond breweriana, including a Joseph Braddell & Son illuminated advertising sign, lot 239, a large double-sided Esso sign, lot 391, and Tullamore Distillery signs, lots 401–403.

Browse the full catalogue for condition details and photographs. It includes antique and vintage objects alongside modern handmade pieces and reproduction prints, so read each description before bidding.
