Curious little weapon designed by a Belgian woman, Mme Marriette Brevette around 1820
It is a .38 percussion calibre 2.75-inch barrels. Nipples are intact
The weapon has a floral scroll engraved frame and back strap with geometric border on the frame, crown and Liege proofs on the breech block, removable barrels marked 1 through 4 at the breech end with corresponding number on the breech block, marked “2257”, and “MARIETTE BREVETE” on the front strap. Made without sights, ring trigger and under hammer and fitted with two piece grooved ebony grips.
