This is a vintage Pickelhaube helmet, a type of spiked helmet worn by German military, firefighters, and police in the 19th and 20th centuries. The helmet is constructed from black leather, fitted with brass trim and a decorative front plate displaying a German coat of arms. It has a distinctive spike on top and decorative rosettes on either side. Shows wear consistent with age. A remarkable example of military history and craftsmanship.
