This impressive cast iron garage plaque features the logo of Indian Motorcycle, the US motorcycle manufacturer. In the 1910's, not only was Indian Motorcycle the biggest motorcycle manufacturer in the world, it also had success in the world of road racing, taking the top three places in the Isle of Man TT in 1911. The company underwent a number of bankruptcies and restructurings before being taken over by the current owners, Polaris. This particular garage sign displays an early version of the Indian Motorcycles logo, featuring the Big Chief Indian with traditional headress. The brand name "Indian Motorcycle" appears in the middle of the plaque. Skilled craftsmanship is on full display with this design - with the intricate detailing around the headdress, and also the vibrant handpainted colours, both coming together to create a truly splendid plaque. Much appreciated by fans of motorcyling past and present, this sign is perfect for garages, workshops, offices or man-caves. Pre-drilled holes make it easy to hang on a wall of your choice.
