This is an antique glass Green King torpedo bottle, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. This type of bottle, also known as a Codd bottle, was designed with a rounded bottom to force it to be stored horizontally, keeping the cork wet and preventing it from drying out and allowing the contents to go flat. The glass has a green tint and is embossed with lettering and decorative motifs. The embossing has some age-related fading. There is surface wear and some internal clouding, consistent with age and use. Display this intriguing antique bottle on a shelf, desk or in a home bar to add a touch of vintage charm.
