This is a matchlock rifle/musket, a type of firearm easily distinguished by its firing mechanism. A match, or slow burning cord, is clamped in a 'serpentine' or similar device at the end of a small, pivoting arm. This arm is moved to bring the match into contact with the touch hole of a gun barrel, igniting the priming powder. The stock and barrel show wear commensurate with age. It would make a unique addition to a weapon collection or an unusual decorative piece.
