The pot is made of cream-coloured stoneware and features embossed lettering around the base, stating 'Not Genuine Unless Bearing W.P. Hartley's Label.' The pot has vertical ridges. There is some discoloration. It shows signs of age and wear, including minor marks and some staining inside.
