This is a vintage taxidermy mount of a Beech marten (Martes Foina). he is in good vintage condition but time has bleached his fur to a lighter cream, with darker brown remaining on his extremities and the characteristic white bib.
This species of marten is found on continental Europe into Asia.
He has the classic face of 20th century taxidermy and fit in perfectly in the house of a collector of 'bad' taxidermy, or a natural history enthusiast who can appreciate his unique, goofy charm, and the wall mounted aspect means you can fit him in to your collection even if you've run out of shelf space
