This is a vintage RAF (Royal Air Force) Captains Mess Dress Uniform. It consists of a short jacket with gold button detailing and black lapels, and matching vest & trousers. The jacket has gold braiding on the sleeves indicating rank. The uniform shows some signs of age and wear, with some discolouration and possible minor damage to the fabric, commensurate with its age and use.
