A vintage Nepalese Kukri knife with its original sheath. The Kukri, also spelled Khukuri, is a type of machete, originating from the Indian subcontinent, and is traditionally associated with the Nepali-speaking Gurkhas. The kukri often appears in Nepalese heraldry and is used in many traditional rituals such as wedding ceremonies. The blade has pitting and oxidation consistent with age and use. The leather sheath is scuffed but has all its original fixings, including belt straps.
