This Sikes hydrometer set would have been made after the 1816 act of Parliament that replaced the Clarkes hydrometer as the standard method of measuring wines & spirits by Excise officers.
This is a rare set containg not just the Adjustable Hydrometer set but the five set mercury bulb Hydrometers.
