Hornsea Potteries, founded in 1949 by brothers Colin and Desmond Rawson, grew from crafting seaside trinkets to becoming the largest studio pottery in the world, employing over 700 people.
Renowned for its innovative techniques and inspirational designs, Hornsea became a beloved name in British ceramics.
Although Hornsea ceased trading in 2000, Magpie has reimagined some of its most iconic designs, starting with the works of John Clappison.
