This is a handwoven market basket produced in the traditional Ghanaian Bolga basket style. The basket has tribal patterns and a leather handle. Woven from ethically-sourced veta vera grass in Northern Ghana, this beautiful bolga basket is made from robust veta vera grass – an indigenous raw material that’s sustainably sourced and perfect for producing durable baskets. The grass is hand-rolled before being woven by a skilled member of our partner weaving cooperative in Northern Ghana. This basket is perfect for market trips or picnics, but can also be put to use all over the home – as a laundry basket, toy basket, vegetable basket, blanket basket – the possibilities are endless! Every market basket in this collection is totally unique – made once and sold once.
