This is a beautiful, handwoven market basket in the traditional Ghanaian Bolga style. Woven from ethically-sourced veta vera grass in Northern Ghana, this basket is made from robust veta vera grass, an indigenous raw material that’s sustainably sourced and perfect for producing durable baskets. The grass is hand-rolled before being woven by a skilled member of a partner weaving cooperative in Northern Ghana.
The basket features a tribal-inspired pattern with vibrant pink, brown, and black stripes. Leather handles are added for ease of carriage. The basket can be put to use all over the home – as a laundry basket, toy basket, vegetable basket, blanket basket.
