This is a hand woven market basket produced in the traditional Ghanaian bolga basket style. Featuring tribal patterns, this basket is perfect for market trips or picnics, and can also be used around the home as a laundry basket, toy basket, vegetable basket, or blanket basket. Each market basket in this collection is totally unique – made once and sold once. Woven from ethically-sourced veta vera grass in Northern Ghana, this beautiful Bolga basket is made from robust veta vera grass – an indigenous raw material that’s sustainably sourced and perfect for producing durable baskets. The grass is hand-rolled before being woven by a skilled member of our partner weaving cooperative in Northern Ghana.
