This is a deactivated M49 submachine gun with a drum magazine in excellent condition. The M49 was a Yugoslavian submachine gun developed after World War II. It is a simple, robust weapon chambered in 7.62x25mm Tokarev. Latest EU Spec, with moving metal replica bolt, trigger, safety, and fire selector, with removable drum.
This was the simplified Yugoslavian version of the PPSH 41 that was easier for third world countries to manufacture. The PPSH 41 sub machine gun is one of the iconic classics of WWII. The Soviets learned from their earlier PPD series and listened to the troops who took part in the winter war with Finland. The result was a weapon that was incredibly reliable and capable of shocking firepower when firing bursts from its 71 round drum magazine. It has few parts and can take a lot of punishment. They are still being used in Iraq by private contractors as car guns and they still function perfectly.
This item has been deactivated to UK legal standards and comes with official certificate. Serial number M49.
