19c. Whitbread’s Beers Match Holder and Striker

19th century Whitbread's bottled beers match holder and striker featuring a barrel design with 'Whitbread's Bottled Beers' on one side. It has miniature beer bottles around the base, each labelled 'Whitbread & Co. Stout'. The base is marked 'Ale in Bottle Stout in Bottle'. A charming breweriana collectible. Made from ceramic with a brown glaze and a central indentation for holding cigarettes or small items. Excellent condition for its age.
