Description
This 60s Modernist Dandelion 10-Light Sputnik Chandelier is an elegant ceiling light , with dandelion glass flowers on a golden brass frame. Chandeliers provide some beautiful illumination and provide a stunning focal point to a room.
Three of the glass discs are missing which is why we have a reduced asking price of £1,850. They are missing from the top so once this is hung it is hard to notice the gaps anyway. Completely rebuilt and rewired to the current electrical safety standard here at On the Square.

The Sputnik style was inspired by the first satellite to orbit the earth in 1957 and the popular mid century light fixture became part of the well known design period – The “Atomic Age”. The pendants provide bright illumination because of their multiple arms that each contain a bulb.
The original sputnik chandelier was designed by a lighting designer , who was self-taught , Gino Sarfatti in 1939. Gino Sarfatti is also well know for founding the lighting manufacturing company Arteluca in 1939.
