This striking ceramic jug is designed in the rustic style of Moroccan Tamegroute pottery, presenting an eye-catching heavily distressed aesthetic. The vessel features a classic bulbous body that tapers to a slender neck, flanked by two small circular loop handles. Its signature green glaze is characterised by a highly varied, tactile texture with significant bubbling, pitting and flaking that exposes the warm terracotta clay beneath.
The unglazed flat base reveals the raw clay and construction details of this distinctive piece. Due to its highly weathered and porous finish, this vessel is best suited as a decorative object rather than for holding liquids.
