Bidding Guide

Online Auction

Our bidding system works like any other great auction site, such as eBay. You see something you like? Place a bid on it, and if you bid is the highest when the auction ends, you win the item!

You will be emailed if someone outbids you on an item, so you’ll get a chance to bid back.

In live auction events, where the Auctions end in In-Store Live Auctions, Online bids work slightly different.

Place a bid online at a time that is convenient for you, entering the amount you’re willing to pay for an item. Then one hour prior to the In-Store auction, online bids are closed. People who are attending the In-Store auction then get a chance to outbid the online bids. This means that once the online bidding closes, you won’t get a chance to counter someone else’s bid, so bid with this in mind!

Shortly after the In-Store auction ends, if you haven’t been outbid, you will be notified that you have won the item.

Other terms

Reserve auctions mean that some or all the items have a price that their bids have to reach before we can allow them to be sold. This reserve price will be clearly shown on each item’s description if it has one.
